ENJOY EVERYTHING DURING THE HOLIDAY!

Here are a few tips to help during your holiday feasting.

Tip #1: Eat slowly.

It takes 15-20 minutes for our stomach to let our brain know we are satisfied. Slow it down, enjoy every bit, and enjoy the time with those around you.

Tip #2: Eat to satisfied.

Think of a scale from 0% (not hungry) to 100% (stuffed). We want to be around 80% (satisfied). We can always go back for more later! Trust me, I will!

Tip #3: Eat your protein and veggies first!

Protein takes longer to digest which helps keep you feeling full longer and the fiber in the veggies help make you feel full faster.

Tip #4: Drink plenty of water.

Being well hydrated prior to your meal will help with overeating.

Tip #5: Get moving.

Try to sneak in a workout before or after your meal. If there isn't enough time to get a workout in, simply take a walk or play with the kids.

Tip #6: Enjoy the holiday and enjoy those around you! Happy eating!
